Using Glauco

Copy kubectl commands

Copy a kubectl get, describe, logs or edit command for any resource.

From a detail view

  1. Open the resource.
  2. Click kubectl in the header.
  3. Pick Get (YAML), Describe, Logs or Edit. Logs is for pods and workloads.
  4. Paste the command in a terminal.

From a table

  1. Click the ⋮ menu at the end of the row, or right-click the row.
  2. Pick Copy: kubectl get, Copy: kubectl describe or Copy: kubectl logs.

What you get

The command names the namespace and the context, so it works in any terminal, whatever your current context:

kubectl get deployments web -n shop --context prod -o yaml
kubectl logs deployments/web -n shop --context prod

For a workload, kubectl logs reads one of its pods. Custom resources use kind.group, for example certificates.cert-manager.io. Names with unusual characters are quoted.
