The trial and free mode
14 days with every feature, then free mode: one cluster, read-only, for personal use.
The trial
- The trial starts the first time you open Glauco on a computer.
- It lasts 14 days, with every feature and every cluster.
- You need no key, no account and no card.
- You may use the trial at work.
A banner shows the days left, for example Your Glauco trial ends in 9 days. You also see it in Settings > License > Status.
Free mode
When the trial ends, Glauco goes to free mode. Nothing is deleted. The banner says Free mode: one cluster, read-only. and the reason, for example Your trial has ended.
In free mode you can:
- browse one cluster: every resource, YAML, events and logs;
- use the dashboard, nodes, Helm releases and cluster health;
- run a dry run in Apply YAML;
- copy kubectl commands.
In free mode you cannot:
- switch to another cluster, or read from one;
- edit, apply, delete, scale or restart;
- cordon, uncordon or drain a node;
- open a terminal or start a port-forward;
- roll back or uninstall a Helm release.
When you try one of these, the Get a license sheet opens. It says what needs a license, for example Switching clusters needs a Personal or Team license. Click Enter key or Buy.
Which cluster is free
The free cluster is the context you were on when free mode started. Glauco opens on that cluster from then on. Settings > License shows it under Free cluster.
Terminals and port-forwards that run when free mode starts are closed.
