Install on macOS

Download the DMG, drag Glauco to Applications, and open it.

What you need

  • macOS 13 Ventura or later.
  • A Mac with Apple Silicon or an Intel processor.

Install

  1. Go to the download page.
  2. Download the DMG for your Mac: Apple Silicon or Intel.
  3. Open the DMG.
  4. Drag Glauco to the Applications folder.
  5. Eject the disk image.
  6. Open Glauco from Applications, Launchpad or Spotlight.

Glauco is signed and notarized by Apple. macOS may ask if you want to open an app you downloaded from the internet. Click Open.

Always start Glauco from Applications, not from the DMG window. An app that runs from the disk image cannot update itself.

The first time Glauco opens, your 14-day trial starts. Every feature is on, and you need no key and no account. See The trial and free mode.

Updates

Glauco updates itself. It checks for a new version every hour and downloads it in the background. When the download is done, a dialog asks you to restart:

  1. Click Restart to install the update now, or Later to install it the next time Glauco starts.

To check now, choose Glauco > Check for Updates… in the menu bar.

Uninstall

  1. Quit Glauco.
  2. Drag Glauco from Applications to the Trash.

Your settings and license stay in ~/Library/Application Support/Glauco. Delete that folder to remove them too. If you have a license, first remove it from this computer to free the install. See Installs and seats.
