Using Glauco

Browse, filter and search

Move between resource kinds, scope to a namespace, filter tables and use the command palette.

Screens

The sidebar has these screens, from top to bottom:

  • Dashboard: counts, cluster CPU and memory, what needs attention and recent events.
  • Browse: every resource in tables.
  • Nodes: the nodes and their capacity.
  • Helm: Helm releases.
  • Cluster health: problems, ranked.
  • Apply YAML: apply a manifest.

Press ⌘1 to ⌘6 on macOS, or Ctrl1 to Ctrl6 on Windows and Linux, to open them in that order.

Browse resources

  1. Click Browse in the sidebar.
  2. Pick a tab in the top bar: Applications, Network, Config, Storage or All resources. Each tab shows a live count.

Tables update live. The line above the table says Live · updated just now, or how long ago. Custom resources are in the Custom menu after Storage. See Custom resources.

Pick a namespace

  1. Find Namespaces in the sidebar.
  2. Type in Filter namespaces to shorten the list.
  3. Click a namespace, or All namespaces.

Namespaces without workloads are dimmed under Inactive. Picking a namespace opens Browse, unless you are on Helm, a custom resource or Apply YAML.

The command palette

Press ⌘K on macOS, or CtrlK on Windows and Linux to open it from anywhere. Press the same keys again or Esc to close it.

  1. Type in Type a command or search….
  2. Move with ↑ and ↓.
  3. Press Enter to run the command.

The palette has these groups:

Recent
Your last five commands.
Switch context
Every context in your kubeconfig files.
Jump to namespace
Every namespace in the cluster.
Go to
The screens and Browse tabs, and Open YAML….
Resources
Every resource kind, built-in and custom.
