Install Helm

macOS (Homebrew)
brew install helm
Windows (winget)
winget install Helm.Helm

On Linux, use your package manager or the steps at helm.sh. Then quit Glauco and open it again, so it reads the new PATH.

Point Glauco to Helm

If Helm is installed but not on your PATH:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. In Helm, click Choose… next to Helm binary.
  3. Pick the helm file, or helm.exe on Windows.

The line under the field shows what Glauco found:

  • Glauco shows

    Helm v3.19.0, found on PATH

Ready. The version is an example.
  • Glauco shows

    Not found on PATH

No helm on your PATH. Install it, or choose the file.
  • Glauco shows

    Not found at GLAUCO_HELM_PATH

The GLAUCO_HELM_PATH variable points to a missing file.
  • Glauco shows

Helm v2.17.0. Glauco needs Helm 3 or later.

The file is Helm 2. Install Helm 3 or later. The version is an example.

When you choose a file, Glauco can refuse it:

  • Glauco shows

    That file does not exist.

The file was moved or deleted. Choose it again.
  • Glauco shows

    That is not a file.

You chose a folder. Choose the helm file inside it.
  • Glauco shows

    Choose helm.exe.

On Windows, the file must be helm.exe.
  • Glauco shows

    That file is not executable.

Run chmod +x on the file, then choose it again.
  • Glauco shows

    Could not run that file.

The file is not a working helm. Install Helm again and choose the new file.
